2 teens arrested in connection with body found on King trail last April

Two teenagers have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of an 18-year-old man whose body was found on a trail by a dog walker in King last April.

A 15-year old female was arrested June 5 and a 19-year-old man was arrested July 5, according to a York Regional Police news release.

On Sunday, April 23 at 7:50 a.m., a dog walker reported seeing a body along a trail northwest of the Seneca College campus near Dufferin Street and 15th Sideroad.

The victim was identified as Zackhry Ramnath, 18, of Montreal, and investigators determined it was a targeted homicide.

Charged with first-degree murder are Lyjah Griffiths, 19, of Cambridge and a 15-year-old female from Mississauga.
