2 riders seriously injured in motorcycle crash on Leslie Street

Two people in their seventies were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a motorcycle collision on Saturday in East Gwillimbury. 

Police were called to Leslie Street south of Boag Road at about 7:40 a.m. on July 16 for a collision between a red Kia sedan and a red Honda motorcycle with side passenger cart. 

A 73-year-old male who was driving the motorcycle and a 72-year-old female passenger were both transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, York Regional Police said. 

The driver of the Kia, a 26-year-old male from Barrie, was also transported to the hospital but sustained only minor injuries. 

Police are now seeking witnesses as the investigation into the collision is ongoing. Anyone with dashcam footage from the area or anyone who may have been there and witnessed the incident is asked to come forward.
