Occupants of a vehicle were injured when it landed in a ditch in Vaughan early Sunday.

York Regional Police is appealing for witnesses following the single motor vehicle collision on Dec. 10 at approximately 6:15 a.m., when a white Hyundai Elantra went into the ditch on the east side of Pine Valley Drive at Kirby Road.

Police believe the Hyundai was travelling eastbound on Kirby when it continued through the stop sign and ended up in a ditch on the opposite side of Pine Valley.

When officers arrived on scene, they found four passengers with various injuries, police said. All four were initially transported to a local hospital, with two later being sent to trauma centres with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, and to anyone who may have dashcam footage or video surveillance of the area around the time of the collision, to please come forward.
