2 men arrested after multiple residential break-ins in Markham

Two Toronto men have been arrested in connection with 22 offences, including several break-and-enters in Markham. 

Frank Hon Bong Lee, 52, and Owen Rhim, 44, were arrested by York Regional Police Jan. 16 following a a number of residential break-ins from Oct. 3, 2022 to Dec. 16, 2022, in which high-end jewelry, clothing, accessories and cash were stolen.

Investigators believe the incidents are linked to the same suspects, police said. 

The two Toronto men are charged with offences that include break-and-enter, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and theft of a motor vehicle, police said.

Following, three search warrants executed in Toronto, a number of stolen items were recovered, along with a large amount of marijuana and illegal edibles, police said. 

The investigation is ongoing and officers are seeking additional victims who have not yet come forward who may be able to identify some of the recovered property. Photographs of the recovered items can be found here
