Thursday's pop-up vaccine clinic cancelled at Newmarket's Riverwalk Commons

The pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 26 at Riverwalk Commons in downtown Newmarket has been cancelled.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances," the clinic at Walmart Keswick Supercentre in Georgina scheduled for Monday, Aug. 30 has also been postponed, according to York Region Public Health. 

However, the pop-up clinic at Cineplex Newmarket (East Gwillimbury) on Yonge Street continues to Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with doses of Moderna and Pfizer offered. 

Thursday, Aug. 26 is the last day of operations at the Ray Twinney COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Newmarket.

To date, more than 83.1 per cent of eligible individuals age 12 and older in York Region have received their first dose and more than 77.4 per cent are fully vaccinated.
