'Significant' sewer construction project begins this summer

REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF YORK

The Regional Municipality of York invites residents to an open house to learn about a significant sewer construction project happening in the Town of Newmarket beginning this summer.

Known as the Forcemain Twinning project, a new 5.1-kilometre major sewage pipe will run alongside one existing pipe, once complete. This work is necessary to ensure the health and safety of the community and the environment.

Residents can learn more about the project and meet the team at one of the following information sessions.

Newmarket Community Centre – Hall 2
200 Duncan Dr., Newmarket, ON L3Y 3X1

When:
Wednesday, May 15, 2019
4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
and
Tuesday, May 21, 2019
4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The same information will be presented on both dates. If you are unable to attend the open houses, information will be available on york.ca/forcemaintwinning beginning May 15, 2019.
