The Town of Newmarket is shutting down a portion of Main Street to traffic this Sunday to remove accumulated snow.
The municipality announced the snow lift will go from Water Street to Park Avenue from 6 a.m. to noon Feb. 5. During this time, both lanes of the road will be closed.
The town said it will remove the excess snow that has accumulated on the sides of municipal streets.
“This work will help make the roads and sidewalks more accessible,” the town said.
Newmarket and the surrounding area has had several significant snowfalls in the past couple of weeks.
