Here's where to get vaccinated in Newmarket and York Region Oct. 26-30

A pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic coming to Newmarket on Saturday is one of many places to get vaccinated in York Region this week. 

Today, Tuesday, Oct. 26, a pop-up clinic is being held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 356 Sutton, located at 21 East St., Georgina. It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Next, on Wednesday, Oct. 27, a clinic will take place at the RioCan Spring Farm Marketplace at 441 Clark Ave. in Vaughan from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

Then on Thursday, Oct. 28, two pop-up clinics are being held. One is at the Holland Landing Community Centre at 19513 Yonge St. in East Gwillimbury and the second one is at Dufferin Clark Community Centre, at 1441 Clark Ave. in Vaughan. Both run from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

The final pop-up clinics of the week take place on Saturday, Oct. 30. 

One is at the Newmarket Community Centre and Lions Hall at 200 Doug Duncan Dr., Newmarket and the other is at the Oak Ridges Community Centre at 12895 Bayview Ave., Richmond Hill. Both are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

All the pop-ups are open to walk-ins for a first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Both Pfizer and Moderna are available, but you must be aged 25 and older to receive Moderna. 

There are also a number of community-based clinics in York Region where people can get vaccinated, including in Newmarket at the York Region Administrative Centre, located at 17250 Yonge St., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

However, the clinic will be closed this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 30, and will re-open on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 11:30 a.m. 

Walk-ins are accepted at community clinics but you can also make an appointment on York Region’s website.
