Georgina begins festive fun with Santa Claus Parade of Lights

Holiday events and activities include Saturday's nighttime Santa Claus parade in Sutton and a family New Year's eve party at the ROC in Keswick

Georgina is offering an array of holiday events and activities this season, including this weekend's nighttime Santa Claus parade in Sutton and a family New Year's eve party at the ROC in Keswick.

Sutton Santa Claus Parade of Lights

On Dec. 2, Santa arrives in Sutton for the annual Santa Claus Parade of Lights. Beginning at 5 p.m. in Jackson’s Point, the parade travels down Dalton Road to High Street, then along High Street ending at the fairgrounds.

Winter program and lesson registration

Are you looking for activities to keep your family active this winter? Registration for winter programs and lessons for residents begins Dec. 5 at 8:30 a.m. Register online at georgina.ca/recreation. Early registration for ski and snowboard lessons is now open for ROC winter 2023/2024 season pass holders.

Link Winter Market

The ROC — opening soon

Are you ready to ROC? The ROC will be opening soon, weather dependent. Be sure to watch for the latest opening updates on georginaroc.ca. New this season, check out the rental shop for all your equipment needs to have fun at the ROC.

Festival of Lights continues until Jan. 2

The Georgina Pioneer Village buildings and grounds come alive with holiday lights and sounds each evening starting at 5:15 p.m. until Jan. 2, 2024.

ROC’N New Year’s Eve Family Bash

Ring in the new year with family and friends at the ROC from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 31. Take part in fun family-friendly activities and enjoy entertainment including live performers. Kiddie countdown with a hot chocolate toast at 8 p.m. Admission is free. Regular prices apply for chalet menu items and all-access tickets.

Winter break camp (ages six to 13 years)

Full days at the Georgina Gym, including sports, a ROC tubing trip, games, crafts, skating and more. Everything you need to keep your child busy over the winter break. (ROC snow tubing and skating trip scheduled Jan. 4, weather permitting.) Tuesday, Jan. 2 to Friday, Jan. 5, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. $175 per person for four-day week.
