If you live or work in East Gwillimbury, you can book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment for this weekend at a pop-up clinic at the sports complex.
The clinic will be held outdoors at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex at 1914B Mount Albert Rd. on May 22 and 23, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.
The Moderna vaccine is being administered, so you must meet the approved age requirement of being at least 18 years old.
Appointments must be made in advance and booked through the York Region system, as of this morning, May 19.
People over 18 are now also eligible to receive a vaccine at York Region’s mass immunization clinics. Booking through both the region’s system and the Ontario site opened for this age group on May 18.
Regular vaccination clinics in the area are being held at the Georgina Ice Palace, Newmarket’s Ray Twinney Centre, and the Richmond Green centre in Richmond Hill, among others locations.
