Of the 204 individuals in ICU due to COVID, 173 are testing positive for the virus.

Public Health Ontario is also reporting 24 deaths.

There are also 2,164 new COVID cases, although new case counts could be underestimated as testing is limited.

The May 7 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:

Cases

  • 2,820 recoveries and 24 deaths since yesterday's report.
