Advance voting begins today

Advance polls for the federal election are open this Thanksgiving weekend. 

In Newmarket-Aurora, you can find the nearest advance poll here.

Advance polls will be open Friday, Oct. 11, Saturday, Oct. 12, Sunday, Oct. 13 and Monday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

You will need both your voter registration card and a piece of ID. Options for identification include photo ID with your name and current address; or two pieces of ID, one of which can be a voter registration card and some form of government-issued ID, or statement from a utility or bank. If you did not receive a voter registration card in the mail, you can check to make sure you're registered here.

Once advance polls close, the next option to vote is on Oct. 21, election day, at the polling stations specified on your voter registration card. You can look up your local election day polling station by entering your postal code here.
