Re: Ontario needs to move away from nuclear power to reduce electricity costs, Nov. 13, 2019

I have long believed that it would be of benefit to import power from Quebec instead of spending huge amounts of wasteful dollars rebuilding our aging nuclear reactors. We are neighbours with Quebec and if we can benefit ourselves and our neighbours, as well as the planet, why not?

Quebec produces hydro electric power, which although it may also have environmental issues, does not pose the dangers of nuclear power or release carbon into the atmosphere, so win-win. There have been many more nuclear disasters and accidents, besides Fukushima and Chernobyl than the public is aware of. No one knows where or how to get rid of the endless and deadly toxic waste.

As our planet becomes more unstable in terms of natural disasters such as earthquakes, sink holes, hurricanes, etc., the danger of releasing the deadly toxic waste produced by nuclear reactors into the atmosphere becomes evermore likely. Nuclear power is extremely expensive and dangerous!

Is there a chance Premier Doug Ford would actually take wise advice from the Ontario Clean Air Alliance?

Now that would be something!
