As construction season approaches, the Town of Aurora is excited to announce that our Road Occupancy Permit application process is now available online. The Town is the first municipality in York Region to introduce this comprehensive online service.

These permits play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and safeguarding town assets as construction projects, utility installs or repairs, home renovation and landscaping activities begin.

“Embracing innovation and technology is key to enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of our Town services,” said Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas. “Whether you're remodeling your home, a company setting up new infrastructure in Town, or a building developer, a Road Occupancy Permit may be required, and our new online process will make submitting applications and making payments more convenient, keeping your projects moving forward with ease. Transitioning road occupancy permits online is another step to ensure that everyday services are available 24/7 to meet everyone’s busy schedule.”

This user-friendly platform is tailored to expedite application submissions and payments, monitor application statuses, and transition away from traditional paperwork for a more accessible experience for users.
