The Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board and York Regional Police are pleased to release the 2020-2022 Business Plan, which clearly lays out the objectives for our police service over the next three years.

The 2020-2022 Business Plan is being released, for the first time, in a digital format. The new online format is easily accessible, includes engaging content and is environmentally friendly.

“As an organization, our goals are driven by taking care of our people and our community. With this in mind, I have no doubt that together we will continue to achieve great things,” said Chief Jim MacSween.

Highlights of the plan include the introduction of our new values and code of ethics, which support the vision and mission of York Regional Police. Within the goals and objectives, there is a continued focus on the efficient delivery of service, development and support of our members, community engagement, collaborative partnerships, investing in innovative technology and continuous improvement.

In the community, we will continue to deliver high-quality policing services and ensure that all residents of York Region feel they belong by promoting equity and inclusion for all.

Within our organization, we are committed to upholding a culture of respect, inclusivity and opportunity for all of our members.

The 2020-2022 Business Plan was developed in consultation with York Region residents, business and community partners, as well as members of York Regional Police.

“I encourage all members of our community to review our digital plan at the link below,” said Chief MacSween. “Our members are committed to achieving the objectives outlined in the plan as we continue to modernize our service, while at the same time keeping our community safe, now and into the future.”
