Whitchurch-Stouffville teen drowns in Georgian Bay: OPP

OPP are investigating the death of the 18-year-old man, but do not believe it is suspicious

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment responded at 1:54 p.m, Sept. 20, 2019 to a report of a found submerged body in Little Lake off Valley Road, Georgian Bay Township.

Uniform officers were assisted at the scene by Georgian Bay Township Fire Service and OPP specialty units in this investigation after the body of a male was discovered in the water by persons on the waterside property after he had not been seen since the evening of Sept. 19, 2019.

The deceased, an 18-year-old male from Whitchurch-Stouffville who investigators now believe passed away from drowning and the incident is not deemed to be suspicious. Investigation is continuing.
