Vulnerable man missing after last seen shopping in Richmond Hill

62-year-old's cart full of purchased items from the store at Major Mackenzie and Bayview was found in one area of the parking lot, while his vehicle was found unattended in another area

Police are looking for the public’s help to locate a missing vulnerable man from Richmond Hill.

York Regional Police say Roger Nicholson, 62, left his home on Major Mackenzie Drive at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday and went to a store on Major Mackenzie Drive, just east of Bayview Avenue.

He left the store with a cart full of items at about 10 a.m. The cart was found, with the items still in it, in one area of the parking lot, while his vehicle was located at another end of the lot.

He has yet to return home, and family members have not been able to contact him.

Police have set up a command post and are searching the area.
