Investigators with the #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are releasing video of an attempted arson and seeking community assistance to identify the suspects.
On Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 shortly after 3 a.m., two suspects were captured on video surveillance in front of a tattoo shop located at 3883 Rutherford Rd. which is in the area of Weston Road. The two men approach the front of the business, one of them carrying a jerry can and what appears to be a bottle assumed for use as a Molotov cocktail. The other suspect has a rock and attempted to break the front glass of the business. After two unsuccessful attempts to break the glass, the suspects walked away.
Investigators are releasing video surveillance of the incident and are appealing to the community for assistance with identifying them. The video is available for viewing at the following link: https://youtu.be/dlnBRMIVmDA
