VIDEO: 52-year-old vulnerable person reported missing in Vaughan (update: located)

3 p.m. update:
On Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, a call to police from a concerned citizen led to Mr. Periyathamby being located. He was in good health, but transported to hospital as a precaution.

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are releasing surveillance video and continue to seek public assistance in locating a missing 52-year-old vulnerable man from the City of Vaughan.

Sundarlingam Periyathamby was last seen on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at 2 p.m. when he walked away from his residence on Antrin Street, which is in the area of Steeles Avenue West and Martin Grove Road. He has not been in contact with family since. If spotted, he may appear confused.

Investigators and his family are concerned for his well-being and are asking anyone with information to contact police.

Officers with the York Regional Police Search and Rescue Unit were out overnight searching and continue their efforts today.

Video surveillance that shows Mr. Periyathamby walking on Dalhousie Street with the clothing he is believed to be wearing, is available above.
