Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects and witnesses following a carjacking in the City of Markham.

On Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a carjacking in the area of Warden Avenue and Enterprise Boulevard in Markham.

The victim reported that he was walking to his vehicle when he was approached by a group of four male suspects. One of the suspects pointed a gun at him, then hit him in the head with it. The suspects grabbed his keys from his hand and all four suspects fled the scene in the victim’s silver Kia Rio.

The victim attended the hospital for his injuries.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward. Officers would also like to speak with anyone who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage of the incident. This investigation is ongoing.
