Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at approximately 11:17 a.m., York Regional Police responded to the area of Dufferin Street between Teston Road and Major Mackenzie Drive for reports of a two-vehicle collision between a black Honda Fit and a white Infinity QX6 SUV.

The driver of the Honda, a 28-year-old woman from Vaughan, was transported to hospital where she was sadly pronounced deceased.

The driver and passengers in the Infinity were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area, are being asked to please come forward.
