Vaughan pedestrian, 82, has life-threatening injuries after being struck by vehicle

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious pedestrian collision in the City of Vaughan.

On Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at approximately 2:15 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the intersection of Jane Street and Roseheath Drive for reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a silver Hyundai Tucson.

The pedestrian, an 82-year-old woman from Vaughan, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area, are being asked to please come forward.
