Investigators with York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a man after he pointed a shotgun at pedestrians in the City of Vaughan.

On Feb. 4, 2024, the complainant called police after he learned that his son and a friend had a firearm pointed at them and threats made while they were out walking the previous evening. It was learned that on Feb. 3, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the youths were walking in the area of Pine Valley Drive and Pine Heights Drive taking photos of themselves when they were approached by the suspect who had exited a nearby home. They say the suspect pointed a shotgun at them while telling them to leave the area. As the pair began to walk away, the suspect drove onto the sidewalk in front of them and again made a threatening remark before driving away.
