Two suspects sought in Markham convenience store robbery

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance in identifying suspects following a robbery at a convenience store in the City of Markham.

On Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2018 shortly after 8:30 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a convenience store located at Carlton Road and Village Parkway for a report of a robbery. Two male suspects entered the store and went behind the counter. The suspects ransacked the area behind the counter and stole cash as well as the employee’s purse.

The victim was not physically injured.

Suspect 1:
    •    Male
    •    Wearing a black jacket, black pants
    •    White surgical mask covering his face

Suspect 2:
    •    Male
    •    Wearing a red jacket, black shorts with tights underneath
    •    White surgical mask covering his face

Investigators from the Hold-Up Unit remind business owners of the importance of maintaining and updating video surveillance equipment. Quality images help to identify suspects, can aid in arrests and have a tremendous impact during court proceedings.
