A tip from a vehicle-tracking company regarding two stolen vehicles led to the recovery of 15 high-end vehicles in Vaughan.
The company alerted police that it had traced the stolen vehicles to a private property at Keele Street and Maloy Street on Friday, Dec. 15, according to a York Regional Police news release.
A search warrant was executed for a number of shipping containers on the property, where the high-end vehicles, including the two initially tracked to the location, were found. Fourteen of the vehicles were lodged in shipping containers being prepared for transport, police said.
The investigation, which is ongoing, has revealed that most of the recovered vehicles were stolen Dec. 11 to 13 from York Region, Peel Region and Toronto. Investigators are currently notifying the owners.
