Toronto man, 23, charged after pedestrian hit in Richmond Hill

York Regional Police is seeking witnesses to a collision that seriously injured a pedestrian in Richmond Hill early Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man received life-threatening injuries when he was hit at the intersection of Yonge Street and Westwood Lane Tuesday, Oct. 25 at approximately 1 a.m., police said.

The man remains in hospital in stable condition, police said.

According to a police, the driver of a blue Tesla left the scene but returned shortly time afterwards. He was not injured.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area, are being asked to please come forward.

[Name removed] is charged with dangerous operation cause bodily harm and failure to stop after accident resulting in bodily harm.
