Suspect wanted after BMW stolen from Richmond Hill driveway, victim's credit card used

The suspect was seen on security footage at a Toronto gas station after stealing a car in Richmond Hill.

York Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a young man who stole a BMW from a Richmond Hill driveway on Monday, June 21. 

The incident took place around 1 a.m. on Sunset Beach Road, according to Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week. 

The vehicle had been left unlocked, with the keys and the victim’s wallet in the glove box of the grey BMW X5.

The suspect drove away in the car and was later captured on security footage from a gas station near Lawrence and Victoria Park Avenues in Toronto around 4 a.m. 

There he also fraudulently used the victim's credit card. 

He is described as male, aged 20 to 25, with a thin build and black hair. 

He was wearing a black hoodie, white pants, orange shoes and a black face mask.
