Police are looking for this vehicle and its driver following a hit-and-run in Markham on Saturday.

A man was left injured after a hit-and-run in Markham on Saturday.

According to York Regional Police, at about 3:40 p.m., emergency crews were called to a collision at the intersection of Birchmount Road and Highgate Drive where a 39-year-old Markham man was found having been struck by a vehicle.

York Regional Police said that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and the victim was treated for his injuries at the scene.

Police said the two drivers had been involved in an altercation, and when one of the drivers exited his vehicle, the driver of the other vehicle drove toward him, mounting the sidewalk and hitting him before fleeing. 

Police are looking for witnesses and a suspect following the hit-and-run and said that the suspect's vehicle is a black, four-door Lexus sedan. The suspect driver is described as a bald man with brown skin and a goatee.
