Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking a male suspect and any witnesses following a robbery at a pharmacy in the City of Markham.
On Thursday, July 7, 2022, at approximately 7:25 p.m.,York Regional Police responded to a pharmacy, located on Wootten Way near Highway 7, for a report of a robbery.
Officers learned that a male suspect entered the store and produced what appeared to be a semiautomatic handgun.
The suspect pointed the gun at one victim and demanded cash. A second victim was able to leave the store and called 911.
The suspect obtained a quantity of cash and drugs before fleeing from the scene.
The suspect was described as male, Black, 5’10”, thin build, black hair, brown eyes and 17 to 25 years.
