Stouffville man charged with impaired after pedestrian struck in parking lot

Driver arrested following incident at golf course, multiple complaints in Bobcaygeon, OPP say

A Whitchurch-Stouffville man is facing impaired charges after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a golf course parking lot Thursday in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Ontario Provincial Police responded at about 4:30 p.m. to a report of a driver having struck a pedestrian in a parking lot at a golf course. Police say the driver failed to remain at the scene. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Soon after, police received more complaints about the same driver in Bobcaygeon.

The driver was pulled over on County Road 8 and was arrested, police said.

Brad Denison, 37, has been charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs), possession of a Schedule 1 substance (cocaine), and failure to comply with a release order.

He was remanded into custody and will appear in court in Lindsay at a later date.
