A dump truck rolled over after colliding with another vehicle on Davis Drive, west of Newmarket. The road is temporarily closed this morning for cleanup and repairs following the crash.

The two-vehicle collision involving the dump truck and a car, east of Jane Street, occurred at about 9 a.m. Nov. 10.

The truck was on its side and had taken down a light pole. The dump truck's load had also spilled onto the road, blocking lanes, York Regional Police Const. Maniva Armstrong said.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries. The driver of the dump truck was initially trapped in the vehicle but was freed.

Davis is closed between Jane and Keele Street in King. Traffic is being re-routed.

Drivers are warned to expect lengthy delays due the cleanup and repair work required following this collision.
