Rider yells at passengers, assaults bus driver in Richmond Hill

Suspect last seen heading south on Yonge, according to Crime Stoppers of York Region’s crime of the week

A passenger on a York Region Transit (YRT) bus in Richmond Hill is wanted for yelling at fellow riders and assaulting the operator. 

The suspect boarded the bus at about 8:10 p.m. Jan. 6 at Gamble Road and Yonge Street, according to Crime Stoppers of York Region's crime of the week.

He immediately began yelling at the passengers on board and then assaulted the transit operator before getting off the bus at Yonge and Elgin Mills Road. 

The suspect was last seen heading southbound on Yonge. 

He is described as a white male, aged 40 to 45 years old. He has a medium build and short light brown hair. At the time of the assault he was wearing a black winter jacket with checkered sleeves and blue and green details on the upper portion as well as blue jeans, black winter gloves, glasses, and brown boots.
