Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking suspects and witnesses following a shooting in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at approximately 12:30 a.m., police responded after a male was shot in his driveway in the area of Boiton Street and Hewison Avenue. When officers arrived, they located a 28-year-old male victim in his vehicle suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in stable condition. Investigators believe this incident was isolated and there is no threat to public safety.

Investigation is ongoing.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and have not yet spoken to police. Investigators are also seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.
