Police seek assistance identifying suspects in Richmond Hill robbery

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance in identifying two suspects following a robbery at a convenience store in the Town of Richmond Hill.

On Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at approximately 9:40 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a convenience store on Tower Hill Road for a report of a robbery. Two male suspects allegedly entered the store and told the employee he was being robbed and to get down on the ground. One of the suspects allegedly hit the victim in the face with a handgun, while the second suspect smashed the cash register open on the floor. The suspects obtained a quantity of cash and then fled the area.

The victim was taken to hospital for his injuries.

Suspect 1:

  • Male, black
  • Medium build
  • Face partially covered with a black and white mask
  • Wearing dark-coloured clothing
  • Armed with a handgun

Suspect 2:

  • Male, black
  • Wearing dark-coloured clothing
