UPDATE: High-risk offender last seen in Vaughan located

UPDATE, Oct. 9: York Regional Police are reporting the offender was located last night and has been taken into custody without incident.

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in finding a man who is currently unlawfully at large after breaching a court order. He was last seen in the City of Vaughan.

Neal Bowie is considered a high-risk violent offender who was last seen about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8 in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive West and Jane Street in Vaughan. He failed to return to his group home following a daytime outing.

Police are actively seeking his whereabouts. If seen, please do not approach, call 911 immediately. Description:

  • Neal BOWIE, of the Township of King
  • 40 years
  • Male, white
  • 5'9", 146 lbs.
  • Last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, red T-shirt, black pants and black Converse shoes
