Police identify victims in Vaughan nightclub shooting

Investigators with the York Regional Police homicide unit have identified the victims killed in a shooting at a Vaughan nightclub following an altercation early Saturday.

Tosin Amos-Arowoshegbe, 25, of Toronto and Chibueze Momah, 22, of Mississauga, who were security guards at the ATL Lounge, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident, police said.

The third shooting victim, a 20-year-old female who was a patron inside the club, is currently in stable condition, police said.

Police responded to the report of a shooting at 2220 Highway 7, near Keele Street, July 23 at about 3:30 a.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found three victims with gunshot wounds.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving. He is described as a Black male in his 20s, of thin build, and was wearing a white shirt.

Officers are appealing to any witnesses who may have been in the area or in the establishment at the time who have not yet spoken to police to come forward.

Investigators are also seeking any cellphone video or photographs from inside or outside the establishment, video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured a dashcam video on the roadways. Evidence can be uploaded directly to investigators at the following this link.
