Police believe shooting at Vaughan car dealership was targeted

Police are looking for this truck in connection to a shooting Sunday at a vehicle dealership in Vaughan.

York Regional Police is seeking suspects and witnesses following a shooting at a car dealership in Vaughan Sunday night.

On Monday, June 26, police responded to a car dealership at Weston Road and Highway 407 for a weapons call. The manager had arrived at work to find two windows were shattered, a bullet casing was found near one of the windows and a bullet hole over one of the offices, police said in a news release.

Investigators determined the shooting took place June 25 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Video surveillance from the area shows what appears to be a dark-coloured Dodge Ram driving north on Weston and shots possibly coming from the vehicle. It was last seen northbound on Weston, police added.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and there is no threat to public safety. They are releasing an image of the suspect vehicle hoping someone will recognize it and come forward.

Police are asking anyone with video recordings, such as dash cam or surveillance footage, in the area around the time of the incident to contact investigators as soon as possible.
