UPDATE, May 28: Missing man has been located in good health, York Regional Police report.

Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in locating a missing 82-year-old vulnerable man from the City of Markham.

Arthur Ashton was reported missing by his family.

His last known location was at a community centre located at 17 Anna Russel Way, at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022.

He is described as:

  • Male, white, 82 years
  • Thin build
  • Grey hair
  • Wearing a dark blue sweater, dark-coloured pants and black sneakers
  • Wearing prescription glasses and hearing aid
  • Uses a walker

Arthur is suffering from a serious medical condition which requires immediate medical attention.

He has not returned home and police have not been able to locate him.

Arthur is familiar with the public transportation system. His family and police are concerned for his well-being. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police.
