Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in Vaughan collision

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious collision involving a pedestrian in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at approximately 12:45 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive and Via Romano Boulevard for reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a pick-up truck.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area, are being asked to please come forward.
