A pedestrian is seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle on Davis Drive at Leslie Street in Newmarket tonight.
York Regional Police said the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene after a man was struck at about 8:46 p.m. Sept. 27.
“The male was transported to hospital with serious leg injuries,” said Const. Lisa Moskaluk.
The injuries were not life-threatening, she added.
Westbound Davis was closed for the investigation, police said.
It is the second pedestrian collision in York Region Wednesday night, with a nine-year-girl succumbing to her injuries after she was hit by a vehicle on Mullen Drive in Vaughan at about 5:38 p.m.
The driver remained on the scene, police say.
