Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses and the driver of a suspect vehicle following a serious pedestrian fail-to-remain collision in the Town of Georgina.

On Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023 at approximately 7:35 p.m., police were called to the area of 1702 Metro Rd. N. for a report that an 88-year-old pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle that fled from the scene.

The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators are looking for a silver vehicle that will be missing its passenger side mirror.
