One dead, two in serious condition following single-vehicle crash in Georgina

Police advise that road closures and traffic delays should be expected while they investigate the area

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are on scene and are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of Georgina.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at approximately 2:45 p.m., police were called to the area of Glenwoods Avenue and Warden Avenue for a report of a single vehicle off the roadway. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle and determined that there were three occupants inside.

Two of the occupants in the vehicle are being transported to hospital in serious condition and one occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Please expect road closures and traffic delays in that area while the investigation is underway.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
