Newmarket woman charged with impaired in Bradford

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020 around 5 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to Holland Street in Bradford for a report of a possible impaired driver. After arriving on scene, an odour of alcohol odour was detected. The driver was arrested and transported to South Division where breath tests resulted in readings well over the legal limit.

Thirty-four-year-old Brandi-Rae Campbell of Newmarket was charged with operation while impaired and over 80. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days. She was released with a future court date.

Thank you to all the citizens, including the caller from this incident, who report suspected impaired drivers. Impaired driving is a crime in progress. Dial 911 if you see someone driving erratically or witness any other signs of possible impairment.
