A Newmarket man is among the drivers on area highways facing street racing and impaired driving charges laid by the OPP last week.
The OPP's highway safety division laid 51 street racing/aggressive driving and 17 impaired driving charges in the GTA April 6 to 13.
Yu Qi, 33, of Newmarket is charged with impaired driving, impaired 80 plus and street racing, according to the OPP.
Other York Region residents facing charges are:
- Janis Pineda, 26, of Vaughan is charged with impaired driving, impaired 80 plus;
- Paul Zanette, 32 of Nobleton is charged with refuse to comply with demand.
