Newmarket man charged with impaired driving in Orillia

The 37-year-old faces several offences after being pulled over Saturday night, OPP say

A Newmarket man is charged with impaired driving in Orillia, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Police stopped a vehicle travelling on Old Barrie Road April 4 at 8 p.m., and conducted an impaired driving investigation, according to a news release.

Ryan Maclellan, 37, is charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol, contrary to Section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to Section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
  • Other provincial offences

The accused is to appear on June 2, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia.
