Neighbouring homes evacuated after vehicles set on fire in Vaughan

Police are looking for suspects and witnesses after two vehicles were set on fire last week in Vaughan.

York Regional Police responded at about 3 a.m. Friday to a residence in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive and Melville Avenue for a report of a fire. When officers arrived, two vehicles were engulfed in flames. A truck that was on fire was unoccupied, but neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution due to the extent of the flames.

Vaughan firefighters extinguished the blaze, and no one was injured.
