Motorcyclist dies following collision with truck in Vaughan

The area of Keele and Langstaff remains closed for the ongoing investigation

A 47-year-old Vaughan man has died following a collision involving his motorcycle and a truck in Vaughan early this morning.

The man was riding a Kawasaki sports motorcycle south on Keele Street, north of Langstaff Road, when it clipped the back of a barricade truck that was turning left, according to York Regional Police.

Police were called to the scene at about 6:15 a.m. Thursday, May 21.

The motorcyclist died of his injuries in hospital, police said.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The area remains closed to traffic for the ongoing investigation, and police are requesting any witnesses with whom they have not yet spoken, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, to come forward.
