Markham driver charged with impaired after car flees collision

Officers have charged a driver with Impaired Driving after a fail-to-remain collision in the City of Markham.

On Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, shortly before 3:30 a.m., York Regional Police were called to a residence on Dairis Crescent, which is in the area of Brimley Road and Steeles Avenue East, for a report that a vehicle had driven up a driveway, into a garage, striking a vehicle inside and then fled the scene.

Officers in the area located the vehicle, a grey 2014 Toyota, on Hillcroft Drive near Denison Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested for impaired driving.

She has been charged and her licence was seized and suspended for 90 days. The vehicle was towed and impounded and will be held for seven days.
