Man wanted for attempted murder for a stabbing in Vaughan cemetery

A warrant has been issued for a 32-year-old man wanted in connection with an attempted murder and several other offences in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, just after 2 p.m., officers responded to a weapons call at a cemetery in the area of Jane Street and Highway 407 in the City of Vaughan.

Officers learned that a fight broke out between several people. A 52-year-old man was stabbed when he attempted to break up the fight. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers were able to identify the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Aug. 27, 2020, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers observed the suspect getting into a vehicle outside his residence in the City of Toronto. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspect rammed the police vehicles and fled from the scene.

Investigators are appealing to the public for any information on the suspect’s whereabouts.

He is urged to consult with legal counsel and turn himself in.

  • Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon

  • 2011 white BMW
  • Licence plate CKSR063
