Man shot in home invasion robbery in Bradford, suspects at large

South Simcoe Police are appealing for the public's assistance after a home invasion robbery involving a shooting in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

On Monday, July 3, at approximately 3:50 a.m., police responded to reports of a home invasion with shots fired in the area of West Park Avenue and Professor Day Drive.  

The investigation determined four masked suspects broke into a home and awakened the two male occupants, aged 23 and 21.

Both males were assaulted, and the 23-year-old was shot, police said in a news release.

He was transported to hospital with a non-life threatening injury, treated and released.

The 21-year-old did not require medical attention, according to police.

The suspects stole a number of items.

A white SUV and a black SUV were involved in the incident.

Police believe this was a targeted incident.

Police described the suspects as:

  • Suspect #1: Male, Black, skinny, short curly hair, possibly dreadlocks, wearing a puffy jacket
  • Suspect #2: Male, Black, skinny, wearing a black sweater
  • Suspect #3: Male, Black, large build
  • Suspect #4: Male, Black, wearing a blue sweater
